1.     I’m a _________ business. Are your services right for me?

Definitely. As an accountant, I work with clients from different industries and customize my service offers for their specific needs. If you determine we aren’t a good fit, no harm done.  

2.     What do you need to set me up?

Generally, I typically request read only access to any bank account or credit card account that you use in your business, as well as a copy of your most recent Balance Sheet, Income Statement and tax returns (if available) to get all of your beginning balances squared away. Don’t worry. All new clients will receive a checklist questionnaire with a list of all information needed.

3.     Will I lose control of my business by outsourcing my bookkeeping?

Absolutely not! You will still maintain 100% control of all decisions. You decide what vendors get paid and when. We provide you with the information and perform the specific task, but you approve all invoices for payment and, if needed, sign all checks.

4.     Who services my account?

You will have one bookkeeper assigned to your account. This person will work on your account, be responsible for the day to day servicing of your account and be available to answer any questions you may have.

5.     What software do you support?

QuickBooks is the general accounting software we recommend and we are experts in its usage.

6.     Can other people access my data?

No one can have access to your data without your company’s written permission.

7.     Who owns my accounting data? What happens if I decide to leave/cancel the service with you?

Your data is always 100% your data! If you decide that working with The Broke Entrepreneur isn’t the right fit for your business, my team will help you download your documents and reports in a .csv file.

8.     My books are a behind. Can you catch me up?

Absolutely! In our initial call, we’ll discuss all of that. We will get to the specifics and decide on the best action for you and your business.

9.     Can I get a refund if the service isn’t a good fit?

There is a no refund policy. This is a personalized service. The plans, reports and roadmaps are based on your information and customized for your business. I cannot get the time and effort back and reuse it for the next client.

10.  When will my monthly billing start?

After we’ve had a chance to get acquainted, the next step is the legal stuff, to protect both you and I. At that point, your billing information is collected to reserve your spot on my client roster and you will be charged at that time. All fees and monthly recurrences will be discussed and approved beforehand.
